The Cusp of Winter
I went up on the Parkway today. We got snow on the high elevations and a few flakes floating around here at the farm. A foot of snow fell on Mt. LeConte. They closed 441 through the Smokies to all but 4 wheel drive and will be closing it at 4 pm each day.
Snow is a big deal to me. I grew up in the lowcountry of South Carolina. I didn't see it more that 5 times by the time I was in my mid 20's. I make sure I have plenty of milk, white bread and firewood in case it sticks around for very long. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with the white bread.
